A Short Poem on the Exploitation
of
Humanity's Desire To
Believe

There is a curse upon us
all,
so I bid ye all beware!
Believe not all you read, good
folk;
and read your words with
care.
I'd advise a hearty scanning
first
of each and every page:
then throw the rubbish in the
can,
if it bears the words "New
Age."
For example take the Martian
'Face,'
a staple of this
farce,
(they inform us that an ancient
race
once came to Earth from
Mars!)
Those Pyramids on Giza
plain?
The Martians built those
too!
If we can't see how the things were
built,
an alien will do!
Read your prophesies of Edgar
Cayce,
and even Nostrodamus...
but if you take their words to heart my
friends,
you may be called an
ignoramous.
While all this stuff is great to
read,
and think on for a while,
please take it with a grain of
salt,
and a little whimsy smile.
For there's nothing older in this
world,
than the profit making
scheme,
which disseminates such lines of
lies
with half-truths in
between.
But if while here you think to
ask
the Avatars for FACTS;
you've just performed greatest
form
of SCIENTIFIC acts.
