Is there any significance in a person's BP being considerably different from one arm to the other? Possibly there is some difference due to the slightly longer path to the right arm, so in order for comparisions to be made between readings, one arm was decided on to be the "correct" one. | |

| Hi FQ, AFAIK there is no real statistical difference in blood pressure from arm to arm in normal healthy individuals. From vague memory, and don't quote me, but i think the right arm has a slightly higher systolic and the left a slightly lower diastolic. It is so slight that it is nigh on statistically insignificant. Arno | |
