We're finding it a bit hard to
delete multiple instances of new threads when different people have
responded to different instances of the same post.
(I know this can
happen if the most recent instance is at the bottom of the most recent 15
threads and you haven't seen the 6 xeroxes below in the older posts
section - hey- we're all human).
However, in general, the rule for
multiple instances of the same thread is that replies should go to the
first instance only. (That makes it easy for us to delete multiple posts
of a new thread without accidently wiping valuable
replies).
Meanwhile we are really close to a software upgrade which
will make all of these multiple post problems go away forever (in internet
time anyway). I know I have been talking about such things for ages, but
I'm very glad to report that today I actually saw a prototype of the new
software. I asked for some changes, so it wil be just a little bit longer
yet.... (but we are very close)
